This Suite is the setting of the book written by the sports journalist Giorgio Terruzzi "Suite 200 The last night of Ayrton Senna". The Formula 1 Grand Champion stayed in this room many nights over the years, including the night before his last race on May 1, 1994. In the room, (remained as it was back then), as well as some memories of Mr. Senna, you will find everything you need for a pleasant stay.
The Hotel Castello was chosen by Ayrton for its location, the sobriety and tranquility that the place conveyed to it. Over time we have tried to maintain the same characteristics and, we like to think that if he was still here he would choose us for the same reasons.
It is a story that we would have preferred not to tell, but everyone knows how things have gone and many have asked us to remember in this way a great champion, but above all an extraordinary man. Now in the collective imagination, even as told by the journalist Giorgio Terruzzi, saying "Suite 200" inevitably brings us to mind "The last night of Ayrton Senna".
It is a room that many fans have asked to see over the years and others still book in order to say "I was there." There is no doubt that over time an indissoluble bond has been created between Imola, the Great Champion and Suite 200. However, our intention is not to make it a "Sacred Temple" but, just another way to remember and revive simplicity of a "Special Man".
